Chidambaram's speech on Infy turning 25

I must rate this is one of the best speeches I have read from Chidambaram. Read the full text of the speech at rediff. Inspiring, contemplative and concise!

I remember an interview of Chidambaram (probably by Karan Thapar, probably on BBC's Hard Talk India) where he mentioned about his tryst with Communism, and he mentioned that he "pities a person who was not a communist when he was young". I kind of echo that statement, but also would like an addendum that Chidambaram did not say, but is an living example: One should also pity a person who does not come out of his Communist leanings! For me, this is the sign of maturity of the person. Chidambaram came out of it in his youth, so did NRN. Poor Goerge Fernandes came out of it in his old age! The likes of Harkishen Singh Surjeet will never come oit of it!!!

Hope Chidambaram gets enough support to go through the reforms and hope his bloated ego does not come in the way taking a pragmatic view of the economy!

I meet my online community

Yesterday, we had a small meeting of the members of the shankarjaikishan yahoo group.

This is the first time I'm meeting members from an online community who I had not never seen personally before. Itz interesting how you make a mental picture of the people by reading their mailz and when you actually see them in person, you are in for a surprise! As for the characteristics of the person, by reading their mails for a long time, I was able to make a good guess!
