A tale of two riots

Arvind Lavakare has come up with a good article comparing the 1984 and the 2002 riots. Hitz the nail on the head.

Saffronization of education?

With all the debate going on "saffronization of education" by the ex-NDA govt, and Mr.Kalam also making a mention of it in his address, I came across this article in rediff last yr, that clearly explained what saffronization is all about! A good article indeed.

Also came across another article exposing the now all common rumblings of leftist historians on saffronization. Itz time Hindu took the NYTimes' example and make itself accountable to the readers for all the false propaganda it publishes.

The Rs.50000 crore Oil scam in India!

Rediff had an interesting series on why Indians are paying an exorbitantly high price for oil products. The petroleum pricing in India is a big scam and the public is taken for a ride by the Govt officials. Although I'm no supporter of subsidies, it is high time the Govt reduced the duties on petroleum producs and make it more affordable to common man. This would definitely trigger an economic boom with prices coming down, more ppl travelling, etc.

On a side note, I find the cribs by Americans on increasing gas prices amusing. As Jay Leno said, ppl crib abt paying $2.50 for a gallon of gas, but do not mind paying $4 for a cup of coffee!

It wonder why the likes of Laloo and Leftists are not affected by anti-incumbency!

Laloo wins in Chhapra :-(

Laloo Yadav has won the reelection held in Chhapra. I cannot stop wondering about the foolish and ignorance of the ppl of Bihar who are reelecting this person, and his party, even after it was beyond doubt that his supporters had indulged in massive rigging.

As Aristotle said, every country has the government it deserves. I just pray to God that ppl of Bihar realise what they are doing, and choose better among itz limited options.

Amen.
